NolaDraw Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-21
This policy covers the NolaDraw iPad app, version 1.0, and the website https://noladraw.com.
Summary
- NolaDraw does not have accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking.
- The app never sends us your data. The only thing we receive is feedback you choose to send from the website or by email.
- Everything you draw and write stays on your iPad unless a grown-up turns on an AI server in Settings, in which case chat text and pictures go to the server that grown-up chose.
Who we are
NolaDraw is published by Brokers Tech Limited, Hong Kong. Contact: salls@salls.ai. Website: https://noladraw.com.
What the app stores on your iPad
- Drawings, their drawing history, reference photos you add, and the chat with Nola for each drawing. These live in the app's own storage on the device and in your iCloud device backup if you have backups on. Deleting a drawing deletes its history and chat.
- The chat on the home screen, Nola's look, and your settings, stored in the app's preferences.
- The API key for an AI server, if a grown-up enters one, stored in the iOS Keychain.
We cannot see any of this. Deleting the app removes all of it from the device.
Apple Intelligence on the iPad
On iPadOS 26 or later with Apple Intelligence turned on, Nola can make suggestion bubbles, drawing names and colour palettes, and answer chat, using Apple's on-device model. These requests are processed on the iPad and are not sent to us or to Apple's servers. Apple's own privacy terms apply to Apple Intelligence.
AI server chosen by a grown-up (optional, off by default)
NolaDraw can send requests to an OpenAI-compatible AI service that a grown-up configures in Settings. Settings is behind a parental gate. No chat, pictures or API key are sent until the grown-up turns on "Send chat and pictures to this server". Before that, the only contact with the server is when the grown-up taps "Load models", which asks the server for its list of model names and sends nothing else.
When it is on, the app sends to that server:
- the text the child writes to Nola and Nola's earlier replies in the same chat (up to the last 40 turns),
- pictures the child chooses to share with Nola: a picture of the canvas when tapping "Review my drawing", or a photo taken with the camera or chosen from Photos when asking for feedback, as a JPEG,
- the API key, to authenticate the request.
The app does not send names, device identifiers, location, contacts, or anything else. We are not a party to that transfer: the data goes directly from the iPad to the provider the grown-up chose (for example OpenAI, or a computer on your home network), and that provider's privacy policy and terms govern how it is handled and whether it is retained. Because the grown-up chooses the provider, we cannot control its practices. Choose a provider that protects this data at least as well as this policy describes and that allows use with children's content. Turn the switch off at any time to stop all sending; the app then uses Apple Intelligence only.
Camera and photos
- The camera is used only when you tap "Take a photo", to photograph artwork for Nola's feedback or something to draw from. Photos taken this way are kept with the drawing or in the chat on the device.
- Choosing from Photos uses Apple's picker, which shows the app only the photo you pick.
- Nothing from the camera or Photos leaves the device unless the AI server switch above is on and the child shares that picture with Nola.
Local network
If a grown-up enters an http:// address on the home network (for example a Mac running a local AI model), the app connects to that computer. It does not scan or discover devices.
Sharing files
"Share" exports a .nola file containing the drawing and, unless you turn them off in the share options, its drawing history, its reference photo and its chat with Nola. Where you send that file is up to you.
Feedback from the website
The Support page at https://noladraw.com/support.html has a feedback form. When you press "Send feedback", your browser sends the topic, your message and, if you enter one, a reply email address to our website, which is hosted on Microsoft Azure. It is then delivered by email to sam@salls.ai using Azure Communication Services. The form does not ask for a name and does not use cookies or browser storage.
- We use the message only to answer you and to improve NolaDraw, and delete it when it is no longer needed.
- The reply address is used only to answer that message.
- Microsoft processes the request and the email for us, and its hosting may keep standard request logs, such as IP addresses, for security and operation.
Children should ask a grown-up to send feedback. Please do not include a child's name, photo or other personal information in the message.
Children
NolaDraw is designed for children to use with a grown-up. We do not collect personal information from children or anyone else, and the app has no accounts, analytics or advertising. Chat text and pictures can still contain personal information, such as a name or a face in a photo, so they leave the device only if a grown-up turns on the AI server switch as described above. We suggest that children do not write their full name or share photos of people with Nola.
A parent or guardian can see everything the app keeps by opening the drawings and chats on the iPad, delete it at any time as described below, and withdraw consent by turning off the AI server switch. Feedback sent from the website contains only what the sender writes in the form.
Your choices
- Turn off "Send chat and pictures to this server" in Settings to stop all sending.
- Delete a drawing to delete its chat, history and photos. Delete the app to remove everything.
- To ask a third-party AI provider to delete data they received, contact that provider.
Website
The website noladraw.com uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party scripts, and it has no accounts. It is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. Like any web host, Microsoft processes technical information needed to deliver the pages, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, under Microsoft's own privacy statement. We have not turned on any additional logging or analytics. The feedback form is described above.
Emails to us
If you email salls@salls.ai, we receive your email address and whatever you write or attach. We use it only to reply and to fix problems or improve NolaDraw, we do not share it except with our email provider, and we delete it once it is no longer needed for that. You can ask us to delete your emails at any time. Please do not include API keys or children's personal information.
Changes
We will update this page and the date above if the app's or the website's data practices change.
